HOW TO GET YOUR NIN (NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) FAST
If you are
in Nigeria you will be aware that this is what is trending now especially now
that we are challenged by the second wave of COVID 19 infection.
NIN, stands
for National Identification Number.
Simply put, The NIN is used to tie all records about an individual in
the database and is also used to establish or verify his/her identity. All
citizens and legal residents in Nigeria, from age zero (birth) and above are eligible to enroll
for their NINs.
Sequel to this, especially
with the enforcement by the Federal government that all citizens and residents
should get their NIN.
In line with the Federal
Government’s wish to consolidate the achievement of the SIM card registration
exercise of September 2019, the Minister of Communications and Digital economy,
Dr Isa Ali Pantami directed that all citizens should secure Digital
Identification from the National Identity Management commission and submit to
the network operators.
